Performance Exhaust and Induction Kits

Post by Laimie » Tue Oct 23, 2018 4:02 pm

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum and recently purchase a 2011 FN2 Type R.

I am based in Cape Town and looking for recommendations on a performance exhaust and induction kit.

The car came with a 63mm stainless steel exhaust, but not sure of the make though. Need to change it as i'm not liking the sounds and the car seems to be a bit sluggish. :weep: I drove my friend one and his is very responsive with a profit exhaust and short ram induction.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Hi and welcome. Exhausts are tricky. I have found that most places that makes exhausts are not up to scratch. In fact you would lose power over the stock exhaust. Go no bigger than 63mm and make sure it is mandrel bent and tig welded for better flow.

Best inductions are imported like the skunk 2 intake.

Hi buddy.

I have a 76mm exhaust plus header from noise boys.. and have a PVC 3.5inch induction.

I never looked back. I have cams aswell and putting down 195kw 238nm trq.

I'd say go with 76mm exhaust and noise boys headers.
