Civic Type-R FN2 Bolt On Turbo Kit.

Post by CivicRSA » Wed Aug 27, 2014 1:20 pm

Here it is guys. I've been working on this kit for the last 3 months and have kept it on the quiet side until it was complete.
This is the first completely bolt on kit for the FN2 Type-R. Made from the best high quality local and international materials and parts.

This kit will out perform the rotrex superchargers, cost less, give better fuel consumption and be more reliable.

Having been the first turbo charged FN2 in South Africa. Since 2009 I have gained all the knowledge that has enabled me to present you with the ultimate kit.

The cost of the complete kit will start at R84 999 and will include all of the following.

* 304 stainless, thick wall sidewinder turbo manifold. This is way better than the manifolds that place the turbo behind the motor. You can actually see and touch your mighty power adder.

* Borg Warner 200sx T3 turbo. capable of 500hp with very low rpm spool up. (Bigger turbo's are available) Borg Warner was chosen for their superior quality and ground breaking compressor design. See it here http://www.full-race.com/store/borgwarn ... turbo.html

* 3" stainless steel downpipe with high quality interlocking flex section and 2 O2 sensor bungs. I designed it with a 76mm to 63mm reducer to fit the standard exhaust but the option is available to do away with the reducer and to have a 76mm flange if you are using a larger exhaust.

* Tial 44mm MVR Wastegate and stainless steel screamer pipe

* Tial Q Blow Of valve

* 63mm High Performance Intercooler with a bar and plate design. These are imported from Europe and are not chinese crap. These keep Intake air temps literally just above ambient. It's incredible how efficient they are.

* Custom slim line bumper support that holds the intercooler in place. It also retains the stock tow area for the front tow hook. The slim design increases the surface area for cooling.

* 63mm Alluminium intercooler pipes. Powder coated black.

* High quality 4 ply silicone hose and connectors. (Retains cabin heater)

* K-Tuned Upper coolant housing. This frees up precicious space. http://k-tuned.3dcartstores.com/Upper-C ... _p_94.html

* 1000cc Injector dynamics injectors.

* -AN fitting teflon fuel lines.

* Custom fire wall alluminium plate with gold DEI heatshield. As well as DEI titanium wrap for the manifold and downpipe.

Here are some photo's and links.
I have a lot more of the completed kit that I need to add in the next week or so.

I have completed a kit on a customers car and have started production of the first kit for retail. It will be completed in a few weeks. The idea is to always have a full kit on the shelf ready to go off as soon as ordered.

More pics and dyno graphs added soon.

Dyno Results

This is the bolt on kit. Completely Stock motor and Stock OEM exhaust.

This graph is at 0.5Bar (7.5psi)
Hamz 7psi.jpg
This next graph is of the TTS C30 Rotrex kit. The rotrex is at 0.8bar (11.5psi)
This turbo kit absolutely kills the rotrex in every aspect.
I compared it to a C38 Rotrex race kit that I did. With fully built motor, cams, 76mm exhaust. Basically the best rotrex combination out there.
If we had installed a boost controller and taken the boost on the turbo to 1bar we would be better than the C38 rotrex easily.
Check it out

Hey Chriss.
Could we buy some of these parts separate, as I already bought some of it?

No need to do internals up to around 250kw.
You'll need a stronger clutch, hondata Flashpro and preferably a LSD but not necessarily.
